ACEO Clown Portrait #62 "Dimitri"

Clown #62 is homage to Dimitri Jakob Muller (1935 – 2016), known as "Dimitri" was a Swiss clown and mime artist. He was born in Ascona. Her parents were painter and sculpter. At very early age he decided to become a clown. He also bacame an apprentice potter and at the same time he took theatre classes and studied music as well as ballet and acrobatics. 

He he studied mime with Etienne Decroux and became a member of Marcel Marceau. He worked in Circus Knie for several years. Together with his wife in 1971, he founded "Teatro Dimitri" and created plays and directed over the years. He received many awards in his country. The day before his sudden death on 19th July 2016 Dimitri was still performing in his theatre in Verscio. He remains one of the world's best clowns who not only made his public laugh but with his poetic mind and generous heart also deeply touched the audience.
