Clown Pimbim has been performing as professional clown for more than 25 years. He was working for the private schools, companies and public places. As beeing a white face clown artist his style is naive but provoking and surprising. He is influenced by the great master Chaplin. ACEO Clown Portrait #230 "Pancracio"
ACEO Clown #230 "Pancracio" (Fernando Alvarez)
2 ½” x 3 ½” (64 x 89 mm)
ACEO Clown portrait #230 is inspired by a wonderful august clown called "Pancracio" (Fernando Alvarez) originally from Jerez de La Frontera in southern Spain but he has been settled many years ago in the French capital Paris. in Spain circus was at his peak and there were many talented clowns with lots of success. Getting the inspiration from these clown starts such as Emy, Goti y Cañamon, the Andreu Rivels, Ramper, Popey, Los Hermanos Tonetti, Pompoff y Thedy and many more, Fernando wanted to be a clown at very young age.
He was twelve when he joined the Muchachos’ circus school in 1967, where he was trained in all forms of basic acrobatics and other circus specialties, and was naturally cast as a clown, under the name of Pancracio. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, the Circo de los Muchachos embarked into an international tour that took them all over Europe, and then to the United States, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, Senegal, the Ivory Coast, Cameroon, and Japan.
In the late 80's he associated with Manolo Martini(Los Martini-Llata), Johny Diaz to join him and form a new trio, the Trio Llata. Together, they worked with the Spanish Circus Ringland, of the Raluy family, in a tour that took them to Western and Central Africa until José Llata decided to retire. Later on, Fernando went to Paris and married a French girl whom he had met and fell in love with in 1970 when he was with the Muchachos at the Grand Palais. Since 1983 he settled in Paris and continues clowning and making people happy.
