Clown #118 "David Larible"
acrylic on paper,
2 ½” x 3 ½” (64 x 89 mm), 2019
ACEO Clown portrait #118 is inspired by a genuine clown "David Larible" from Italy. He is been clowning around more than 40 years. He comes from six generations of circus artists, and his family has ties with many other European circus families. He performed in European circus rings, on television, and on theater stages; he had an amazing career in the United States and Mexico . He is the first traditional circus Auguste to have brilliantly synthesized the virtuosity of old musical Augustes and the classic clown entrée repertoire with new trends such as the Russian lyrical interpretation of clowning.
in 1999 He was awarded the Golden Clown at the International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo and same year he was awarded also for the first non-Chinese recipient of the Golden Lion Award for significant artistic achievements at the WuQiao International Circus Festival in Shijiazhuang, China.
I watched his performances on YouTube, they are really very good. Also I watched a short documentary "Traveling with a Red nose" and I am sure you will like it, too.
