ACEO Clown portrait #139 is inspired by a professional circus clown  "Daris Huesca" from  Morbegno, Italy. He is the brother of famous clown "Fumagalli" (Gianni Huesca). The couple were trained in all acrobatic disciplines by their brother-in-law, Hans Bruckson. They performed with him in a remarkable tight-wire act, the Feller Boys, which combined all sorts of balancing feats with teeterboard on the wire. For many years, the Feller Boys enjoyed a brilliant international career. His brother Gianni, however, had a knack for comedy and performed clown reprises and comic acrobatic routines from time to time with Daris.

In 1994, Bernhard Paul, the director of the famous German circus Roncalli, (and also its resident star auguste, under the name of Zippo) hired the couple. They worked at circus Roncalli until 2000 and they worked in many different circuses all around the world.  In 2015, Daris  Fumagalli won the coveted Gold Clown at the 39th International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo—the most prestigious award in the circus world.
