ACEO Clown Portrait #168 is inspired by an amazing hospital clown "Doc Skeeter" aka Jay Stewart from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Jay Stewart never been in the circus when he was growing up in and around Atlanta. He had a much more serious career in mind when he enrolled at West Georgia College in Carrollton to study journalism. He changed his major to theater after taking a theater appreciation course in the 90's. After 10 weeks of learning slapstick techniques, acrobatics and makeup techniques at Clown College, he was hired by Ringling Bros for its traveling show. He rode the circus train across the country for two years, performing 500 shows a year. He performed in Kinoshita Circus, Japan, and AEMI Clown Festivals, China. Clown Coach, Circus Smirkus. He is instructor in RBB&B Clown College, and NY Goofs Ultimate Clown School. Camp Clown, Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. He is the Team Supervisor in Laughter League.
