ACEO clown portrait #206 is inspired by a very talented circus clown Davis Vassallo from Campobasso, Italy. He is coming from a circus family. His grandfather was a clown. His father Valter Vassallo (clown as well) taught him to walk on the rope, to play musical instruments, to make somersaults. He explained him how to be funny everyday, how to be clown. When he was fifteen his father decided that Davis was ready to work abroad and they started in England with Billy Smart. A few years later his dreams became true: He started to perform in the ring of the fascinating old-style circus "Il Florilegio". Later on he worked in Norway (in Cirkus Arnardo), Belgium , Germany, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey USA and Italy for circuses and tv shows and recently he worked at the famous Circus Nikulin.
